The Ralph Tomao Theater Seat Tribute Program
In the Summer of 2009, our Board of Directors made a commitment to our membership at large for some long overdue capital improvements. The first and biggest of these tasks was to replace the seating. Those old, orange seats that were installed over 30 years ago are gone. They have been replaced with 52 new seats, giving our audience more legroom and a more comfortable theatrical experience.
In an effort to help off-set this and future capital improvement expenses, we have introduced a new fundraising program. The Ralph Tomao Theater Seat Tribute Program is a lasting way to recognize, honor or memorialize your loved ones in perpetuity and become a part of Hovey history!
Your tax-deductible (restrictions apply) monetary gift is commemorated with a personalized elegant metal plaque that will be mounted on one of our new seats. Each tribute seat may be named by an individual, family or shared by a group of donors.
The cost for a plaque mounted on one of our seats is $125.00.

About Ralph Tomao
A member of Hovey Players for 50+ years, Ralph started performing in the mid-1950’s. Ralph was equally at home on the stage as he was behind the scenes. He was a long-time member of the Executive Board of Directors, a talented director, but most importantly, as his best friend Joel Vernon would say, “Ralph Tomao is a delightful man”. Ralph will always have a permanent place in all of our hearts…and at Hovey. You’ll find his profile amongst the other iconic silhouettes in our theater.
