Cynthia Heimel is the author of seven books on romance, feminism and single life, including "Sex Tips for Girls," "If You Can’t Live Without Me, Why Aren’t You Dead Yet?" and "When Your Phone Doesn’t Ring, It’ll Be Me." Her long-running columns in Playboy and the Village Voice cemented her place as the smart, sarcastic and sassy voice of single women in the eighties and early nineties.
